Tamarindus indica commonly known as Tamarind is a leguminous tree bearing edible fruit, native to Asia, tropical Africa and Madagascar but is found throughout the tropics. Will eventually grow into a fruit bearing tree, which can grow up to 30m tall in the wild! The black fruit pulp of the Tamarind is a common ingredient in the popular dish Pad Thai and Worcestershire sauce. During the day, the delicate leaves of this plant open up flat to catch the sun, and close slowly as evening comes.

LOVES- Frequent watering, keeping the soil moist but not soggy or waterlogged, enjoys a bright direct sunlit position.
HATES- Enjoys warmth and higher humidity in winter and avoid sudden fluctuations in temperature.
